Hello & Thank you!

Hello! It's been a while, how have you been? I hope it's been good! I've been good but not much new besides one thing which I will announce at the end of this discussion, which you can skip to if you'd like. Now, time to talk about what I wanted to say, which is,

THANK YOU!

This has been a project in which has taken me many years to get to where it is now, and even as the few years have passed since its last update, it was something I've been wanting to continue but knew I couldn't after the costs grew more than I would be okay with. Yet, support from both friends and family have always convinced me to return, pay the costs it takes to make this game and continue building. It wasn't until I was working on an unfinished version of the game in which I knew I had to stop. I reached burnout. This really stopped me, with all the bugs continuously piling up in the game, to my creative mindset slowly becoming more and more daunting, I eventually stopped working on this game and called it quit at the previous update. A few years passed until I eventually finally took a look again in the code, had friends encourage me to take another look, another attempt to release one last thing. Now with this update, it does the opposite but it helps push something I've been wanting to do, which I'll get to at the very end. I hadn't touched the game in a few years, and because of that, I was uncertain that if I were to attempt to update the game, whether some old functionality would work. So here is what was lost in the most recent update.

  • Global Leaderboard was removed due to the inaccessibility to the old functions and API I had previously used for the game
  • Mobile Support (Android) has been removed due to the lack of testing on Android devices. This game was made for computers first and it will most likely stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Now these functions and features are lost to time as I do not see a need or reason to keep them. Development on the game has ended for the most part with some slight fixes and bugs being eradicated since I have been preparing this update

Alright, why did I make this update?

Let me cut to the chase on this one, I am releasing the game onto Steam! Now because of this, there was no point in me keeping the old mobile controls and global leaderboard as that would cause me an extra headache in moderating. The game will be free on release, so you do not need to worry about any extra costs for the steam release. So once again, thank you, for the support and love for this game, I wish I could continue making this project but I see no point in pouring more effort into this game when I know its only going to cost me more. I hope to maybe remake and redo the game in the future, but if I did, I'd want to do right by it. I made this game as a fun project initially, not to have it become a multi-year project where I eventually say I release it onto steam but here we are. Now to finally end off on something I'd like to say and add is, again but to more than just you guys, thank you. Thank you to those who helped with assets, programming, brainstorming, designing, and creating the overall game. I hope you all still have fun with this little game even after all this time. The same saves will still work and be able to be used. I'll post again once the Steam page is up and running for everyone to use.
