What an Odd few Months...

After the release of the last version, about two months ago, we have continued to develop and work hard on Bear in Mind the Bees. We even included a devlog pertaining to the future and next update to come, which is what this devlog plans to highlight. So, let's get into it, shall we?

Let's start with the bad news...

We have officially developed a way to transfer data between devices and create accounts. This includes not requiring a login to play the game in general, only if you connect to the online leaderboard. Though, this feature will not be available and ready for the next update. Due to reworking the entire online system, it is nearly impossible to revert the system without tearing everything back down. Now for the reasoning behind it no longer being included in the next update; this system is not legally ready to be released as we need the legal documents for such systems to abide the law. Due to this, the account system needs to wait for a future update, more than likely the next one. Yet, don't quote me on it.

Onto some better news...

There are some new systems in the game that make the game feel more responsive and interactive. We have included a settings and pause menu for greater optimization and control for the player. This especially includes saving such settings for when you return to the game. Audio and visual components have been added as well though those are also still getting worked on. The Queen Bee is also being tested and is currently being worked on as we speak.

Extra news/Compensation...

Due to the lack of account systems for the time being, I plan to work on a surprise system for those who enjoy a little bit of variety in their gameplay ;)

I apologize for the removal of the online leaderboard ahead of release as this will change the project and its branding. Bear in Mind the Bees will be changed to a simple Bear in Mind the Bees - ARCADE to show the difference. This name change will make more sense in the future as we continue to develop the game but for now. Be aware that this next update will shake up the game as we know it.
